Winter is just gearing up in New England. There’s plenty more snow, ice, and freezing temperatures ahead! Sandri Energy works hard to keep you safe and warm through the seasons, but if you’d like to be even more prepared, follow these easy steps. Our winter safety tips will help our drivers deliver the fuel you need, when you need it most.
4 Tips to Help Your Fuel Delivery Drivers
1. Plow your driveway
After winter weather, it is important to clear your driveway of snow and ice. This allows our team to deliver your heating oil, propane, or wood pellets more smoothly and efficiently. Our drivers will be very grateful, and you get the added bonus of easy passage if you need to leave your house.
2. Shovel a path to your fill pipe or tank
Please do our delivery team a favor and shovel a path to your fill pipe or outdoor tank. This will help our team make your delivery and reduces any delay. You will receive your heating oil, propane, or kerosene as promptly as possible!
3. Clear outdoor tanks of debris
If you have a propane tank or an outdoor oil tank, it is important to keep an eye on it during the winter. Winds and heavy snowfall can cause debris, like branches, to fall onto your tank. Make sure to clear tanks of snow, ice, or debris buildup.
4. Mark hazards in your yard
If the path to your tank or fill pipe goes through your yard, it is very helpful to mark any objects that can be hidden in the snow. Marking these things will keep our team from tripping or slipping.
